A year travelling
BIENNALE INTERIEUR 2014
During Biennale Interieur 2014 in Kortrijk, Kinnasand presents its FACES collection for the very first time to the public. A refreshed exhibition concept creates the beautiful backdrop for the 27 new curtains and four carpets.
NEXT STOP IMM COLOGNE
Kinnasand adequately rings in the new year 2015 by transforming the foyer of the Design Post into a textile universe. The installation TURNING FACES is a space for communication that offers a unique textile encounter. Curtains mounted on rotating metal frames are suspended throughout the entire foyer, creating an impression of floating weightlessly through space.
Handwoven carpet structures from the FACES collection arranged with lights above a long table in the foyer form another atmospheric focus. With optimal acoustics, conversations remain personal and, despite the large open environment, visitors feel like being in a separate, personal space.
MAISON&OBJET 2015, PARIS
End of January 2015, MAISON&OBJET in Paris sets the focus point in the lifestyle experience industry . Kinnasand's 27 new curtains and four carpet qualities from the FACES collection are displayed in an adequately appealing manner within the new exhibition concept. Meters of colourful and tactile textiles are draped from the ceiling while the carpets are presented on podiums throughout the space. The mirrored wall creates an enchanted backdrop allowing the visitors to immerse themselves in the Kinnasand textile universe
STOCKHOLM FURNITURE FAIR 2015
The world's largest meeting place for Scandinavian design opened its doors again in February 2015. Kinnasand's almost 100 square meter-space is decorated with colourful textiles and carpets from floor to ceiling. In addition, the redesigned shop display system is integrated into the new exhibtion concept. We look forward to another year in Stockholm.
SALONE DEL MOBILE 2015
During Salone Internazionale del Mobile, Kinnasand presents its latest collection FACES with a special installation at the Kinnasand flagship showroom in Milan, a space designed by the Pritzker Prize-winning architect Toyo Ito. The light-filled showroom and the colonnade outside set the scene for an airy presentation of Kinnasand’s collection of contemporary curtains and carpets. To celebrate the occasion Kinnasand created a series of limited edition bags that were handed out to visitors of the showroom.
TURNING FACES AT 3DAYS OF DESIGN
During 3Days of Design 2015, Kinnasand presented its latest collection FACES in an elaborate installation at the Kvadrat showroom in Copenhagen. The light-filled showroom at the waterfront set the scene for the airy presentation of Kinnasand’s collection of contemporary curtains and carpets. Mounted on 45 rotating metal frames the textiles are suspended from the ceiling as tall, light-weight mobiles throughout the spacious showroom. Guests were invited to take a seat on custom-made benches and poufs to enjoy the Kinnasand universe and visual spectacle.
”With this installation we aimed to create an immersive experience by focusing on the interplay of colour, texture, light and movement”, says Kinnasand’s Creative Director Isa Glink.
